01 / Thesis

Outliers are the asset class.

We invest where conventional capital is structurally absent — at the edge of regulation, hardware, and culture — and we hold long enough for the outcome to declare itself.

A house built for asymmetric bets.

Black Swan operates a concentrated book of positions across defense & aviation and media & creators. We are operators first: every partner has either founded, run, or operated a company in the sectors we capitalize.

We write conviction checks — primary, secondary, and sometimes the whole round — to founders and operators who treat their craft as a discipline rather than a deck.

The fund is structured as a single-family office. We do not raise. We do not chase consensus. We back the improbable.

P / 01

Operators, not allocators.

Every check is underwritten by a partner who has shipped product or run operations in the sector.

P / 02

Concentration over coverage.

We hold a small number of positions and work them deeply rather than spray across a portfolio.

P / 03

Patient by design.

Family-office capital. No fund cycle, no forced exits, no quarterly theatre. We hold for the duration of the bet.

P / 04

Discreet by default.

Most of the portfolio is not disclosed. Public listings are the exception, not the rule.

02 / Sectors

Three markets. One discipline.

We build conviction inside markets where we have already operated. These are not categories — they are problems we have personally lived.

01 / Defense & Aviation Autonomous aerial platform on display in a defense hangar

Defense & Aviation.

Where modern warfare meets real-world flight operations — autonomous systems, attritable platforms, software-defined hardware, and the cash-flowing flight departments and service businesses that keep fleets in the air. We back the founders and operators building both the next-generation kill chain and the airframes, avionics, and mission work that move people and payloads today.

  • Autonomy & AI for defense
  • Counter-UAS & electronic warfare
  • Emerging munitions & energetics
  • Helicopter & fixed-wing operators
  • MRO, avionics & airframe modification
  • Specialty mission & utility flight

Media & Creators.

The creator economy at operating scale — talent, IP, production companies, and the infrastructure underneath. We back the operators building durable audiences, not viral one-offs.

  • Creator-owned IP & talent rollups
  • Production companies & studios
  • Creator-economy infrastructure
03 / Sports Tech Sports operations command center at night with live betting odds boards, play-tracking diagrams, and a packed stadium bowl on the central screen

Sports Tech.

The infrastructure layer underneath modern sports — the data, identity, and capital that move the industry. We back the picks-and-shovels companies powering sportsbooks, leagues, and athletes, and we take direct equity positions in the teams and franchises themselves.

  • Sportsbook & wagering infrastructure (GambleID)
  • Sports data, integrity & officiating tech
  • Athlete identity, NIL & monetization platforms
  • Team, franchise & league equity
  • Fan engagement, ticketing & live-experience
  • Performance analytics & player development
03 / Portfolio

Selected holdings.

A working portfolio across defense & aviation, media & creators, and sports tech — companies we operate, capitalize, or back as principals. Additional positions are not disclosed publicly.

04 / Contact

Founders.Co-investors.Operators.

We respond to direct inquiries from founders and operators in our sectors of focus. We do not accept cold decks; introductions through known operators carry weight.
